Every color is read from the pixels in your browser with HTML5 canvas. The photo is never sent anywhere.
How it works
Pick a color from any photo in three moves
Load the photo
Drag an image into the box, browse from your device, or paste a screenshot straight from your clipboard. Large photos are fine.
Hover and zoom
Move across the image and the loupe magnifies the pixels under your cursor so you can land on the exact shade, even a single freckle of color.
Click and copy
Click to lock the color. Read HEX, RGB, HSL and CMYK, copy the format you need, and keep clicking to build a full palette.

FAQ
Questions about the photo color picker
How do I pick a color from a photo?+
Upload, drag in, or paste a photo. Move your cursor over the image to preview the pixel color in the zoom loupe, then click to lock it. The exact HEX, RGB, HSL and CMYK values appear instantly and you can copy any of them with one click.
Are my photos uploaded to a server?+
No. The tool runs entirely in your browser using HTML5 canvas. Your image never leaves your device, which keeps it both fast and private.
What color formats does it give me?+
For every pixel you pick it shows HEX, RGB, HSL and CMYK. Each value has its own copy button, and you can export a full palette as CSS custom properties.
Can I pick a color from anywhere on my screen?+
On Chrome and Edge the Screen eyedropper button uses the browser's native EyeDropper API to sample any pixel on your screen, not just the loaded photo. On other browsers, load the image and pick from it directly.
Is the photo color picker free?+
Yes. It is completely free with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many colors you pick.
